As Belorussian economy is engaging into the global competion, the demand for foreign imports is increasing. The volume of international imports is largerly driven by the need to rebuild Belorussian heavy machinery industry, textiles and other economic sectors. There are many large-scale rennovation products that require supplies of foreign construction products and equipment. The government pays great attention to consumer protection and industrial safety by the means of establishing licensing and certification requirements for all products, including the imported once. Those requirements are inforced by the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Belarus Republic, Department for Supervision of Industrial Safety(Gospromnadzor).
