Registration and Declaration
Sanitary-Epidemiological Certificate (a.k.a. Hygienic Certificate) was used to demonstrate product's adherence to Russia's technical regulations and sanitary requirements. Please note: Since July 1, 2010 Hygienic Certificates are no longer being issued. All previously issued Hygienic Certificates are valid until January 1 2012. Those products that were subjects to Hygienic Certifications now require State Registrations by RosPotrebNadzor – Federal Service on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing. State Registrations are issued for the life of the product, i.e. have no expiration date and are accepted by all country-members of the Customs Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan). There are eleven groups of products identified as requiring State Registration. The complete list is available at http://13.rospotrebnadzor.ru/directions/register/31970/. For those products that previously were a subject to Hygienic Certification but are no longer among the product groups requiring State Registration, a Declaration of Conformity is required.
