Russia’s imports in January-July amounted to $ 162.6 billion and increased by 29.2% compared to January-July last year. Far-abroad countries accounted for 89.4%, CIS countries – 10.6%. In the commodity structure of imports, the largest share fell on machinery and equipment – 49.6% (in January-July 2020 – 46.3%). In the commodity structure of imports from non-CIS countries, the share of these goods amounted to 53.1% (in January-July 2020 – 49.4%), from the CIS countries – 20.6% (21.6%). The value of the import of these products increased by 38.9% compared to January-July last year, including mechanical equipment by 26.8%, electrical equipment – by 25.7%, instruments and optical devices – by 8.0% … The physical volume of imports of cars and trucks increased by 1.8 times.
