The cost of fuel surpassed the $ 1,000 mark for the first time in history. The previous historical maximum was recorded in 2018 and it was $ 969 per 1,000 cubic meters .. Then the countries of Europe faced an unusually cold winter.

The price in Europe jumped following the price in Asia. The day before, the November futures for the Asian spot LNG index JKM Platts added $ 60 at once and reached $ 1,042 per 1,000 m3.

Also on September 28, the price of Brent crude oil soared to a maximum in three years due to “bullish forecasts” and for the first time since October 2018 overcame the $ 80 per barrel mark. December futures (for delivery by the end of this year) traded at $ 79.53 a barrel. WTI crude oil also rose in price, but its price has not yet exceeded the maximum set in July this year – $ 77.17 per barrel.
