Customs officials reported on the growth of trade with the EU and the US by almost one and a half times
Trade turnover of Russia with the EU and the USA jumped by more than 40%
Trade turnover between Russia and the EU in January-August increased by 42.2% in annual terms and amounted to $ 173.546 billion, according to data from the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation.
Including exports from Russia to the European Union increased by 51.7%, amounting to $ 112.171 billion. Imports to Russia from the EU increased by 27.6% to $ 61.375 billion.
The EU’s share in the total foreign trade turnover of the Russian Federation increased to 35.7% from 34.4% a year earlier.
The turnover of foreign trade between Russia and the United States in January-August amounted to $ 23.365 billion, an increase of 48.7% in annual terms, according to data from the Federal Customs Service.
Including exports from Russia to the United States amounted to 11.78 billion dollars (an increase of 70.8%), imports to Russia from the United States – 11.585 billion (an increase of 31.4%).
The share of the United States in Russia’s total foreign trade turnover for the reporting period increased to 4.8% from 4.4% a year earlier.
