Imports to Russia from non-CIS countries have grown by 27.3% since the beginning of the year

Imports to Russia from non-CIS countries in January-November 2021 increased by 27.3% compared to the same period last year – to $ 235.393 billion, according to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia.

“According to preliminary data of customs statistics, in January-November 2021, imports of goods from non-CIS countries in value terms amounted to $ 235,392.6 million and increased by 27.3% compared to the same period in 2020,” the FCS reports.

In November, the value of imports of goods from non-CIS countries amounted to $ 23.143 billion (an increase of 0.3% compared to October).

At the same time, imports of chemical products increased by 9.4% and amounted to $ 4.744 billion, food products and raw materials for their production – by 0.6%, to $ 2.443 billion, and mechanical engineering products decreased by 0.5%, to 11. 94 billion dollars, textiles and footwear – by 19.8%, up to 980.5 million dollars.

In the import of chemical products in November 2021 compared to October, purchases of pharmaceutical products increased by 33.1%, soap and synthetic detergents – by 2.9%, polymers and rubber – by 1.5%, perfumery and cosmetic products – by 0.5%, while supplies of organic and inorganic chemistry products decreased by 2.6%.

In the import of food products and raw materials for their production, the supply of grain crops increased by 13.9%, fish – by 9.9%, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages – by 3.6%, vegetables – by 3.2%. At the same time, the supply of sugar decreased by 10.7%, meat and offal – by 7.5%, fruits and nuts – by 3.8%, vegetable oil – by 3.1%, tobacco – by 1.2%, dairy products – by 1%.

In the import of mechanical engineering products, the supply of aircraft decreased by 42.2%, mechanical equipment – by 11.3%, railway locomotives – by 4.6%, ground vehicles – by 3.9%. At the same time, purchases of ships and floating equipment increased 2.1 times, electrical equipment – by 18.4%, instruments and optical devices – by 5.6%.

In the import of textiles and footwear, purchases of textile clothing decreased by 33.5%, footwear – by 28.7%, knitted clothing – by 19.1%, chemical fiber – by 11.9%, knitted fabric – by 5.2% … At the same time, the supply of textile materials increased by 19.5%, cotton – by 10.2%, chemical threads – by 5.7%, finished textile products – by 1.9%.
