Up to 60% of foreign wine may disappear from the shelves of Russian stores due to sanctions and problems with logistics, however, these niches will be partially filled by wine from Russian producers.
This was announced to TASS on Thursday by the head of the Export Brand of Russian Wine project Pavel Mayorov.
“We see that about 60% of foreign producers, we expect that they will leave the shelves, temporarily or permanently. We are talking about all segments, including relatively inexpensive Spanish, Italian wines, which are now leaving the market for one reason or another. These are not necessarily sanctions , this is sometimes a break in supply chains,” Mayorov said.
